Structure or Flexibility? Why not both!

Using Paragraphs to build logical structures through the UI

So we can add fields to blocks in D8, which is awesome! But now I have all these one-off block types that only correspond to a single block instance. Granted that's better for theming and the content editor experience than throwing everything into an unstructured WYSIWYG, but is there a better way? You've probably been blown away by the flexibility that the Paragraphs module offers. In this session, let's take it one step further and explore how to create a "Builder" to establish reusable components and nested containers that allow us to create dynamic layouts on the fly. This approach allows us to give control to content editors while making sure they stay within the parameters of our theme. We'll explore the following modules/themes in order to create an intuitive user interface:

  • paragraphs
  • classy_paragraphs
  • block_class
  • zurb_foundation
